Knigge Chatbot

Knigge is a chatbot that wants to talk about talking. He’s looking for conversations, experience and ideas about communication. His name stems from writer Adolph Freiherr von Knigge (1752–1796), who’s work deals with concepts of how to interact with humans.

Around 150 years later computer scientist Joseph Weizenbaum created one of the first programs that pretended to re- and interact with people: the chatbot ELIZA. ELIZA is regarded as one of the early beginnings of Artificial Intelligence—Knigge is based on that same functionality, but with an updated script.
